Nice size bag, just NO padding to protect your detector....good price on Amazon, I did end up buying another manufacturer bag due to the lack of padding.

you will have to break your metal detector down into 2 pieces. That being said, this bag is great. As the previous reviewer stated, there is no padding, but i only use mine to carry everything to my detecting sites. At home i make sure to store it in a safe environment.
In my bag i have my metal detector, headphones, extra batteries, a shovel, and a bag to keep my finds in. There is still plenty of room for more!
There is one outside zip pocket. There are also 2 inside pouches so not everything is stored in one area.
