It can be used flat for a wide scan area or on edge for pin pointing an object. Summary: Worth the $ 2008-02-05
Comment: This very low-cost metal detector was worth it's weight. I used it to find property rods and it worked like a charm. The small size and construction require hands and knees hunting, so if you're a prospector, do yourself a favor and buy something more practical (and more expensive) for your use.
